Originally opened in 1915, the St. Paul Gymnasium underwent major renovations in 1990 and 1998 to meet the needs of the growing campus community. Located on the University of Minnesota’s St. Paul Campus, the facility serves approximately 1,000 patrons on an average weekday during the academic year. In 2002, the St. Paul Gymnasium was named an Outstanding Facility by the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA).
Over the last 100 years, the St. Paul Gymnasium has opened its doors to the University of Minnesota community. Whether it has been for flower shows in 1915, folk dancing in 1928, horse shows in 1937, or indoor climbing competitions in the 2000's, the St. Paul Gymnasium has always been a hub for campus engagement.
On Friday October 9, 2015; this milestone was honored with an afternoon celebration and brief program, and additional events scheduled over the weekend including a Sports Day with a throwback intramural sports tournament, and Family Day.See More Photos Here
