A Golf Benefit to Support Student Scholarships The Recreation and Wellness Scholarship Golf Scramble is an event designed to benefit students at the University of Minnesota by raising funds for scholarships. We invite you to a day of celebrating and supporting our students. Event Details Date: Friday, June 5 Time: 12:30pm Style: 4 person scramble (shotgun start) Location: University of Minnesota Les Bolstad Golf Course (map) Entry Fee: $85* Registration Deadline: June 3 *Entry fee includes a welcome gift, greens fee, cart, practice range balls, putting contest entry, and post event food. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place teams and various field events. A portion of the registration fee also goes to student scholarships. Who Can Participate: The tournament is open to the University and our community, including faculty, staff, students, alumni, and friends. Register Today! Can't make it? Sponsor a student to play on your behalf! A unique aspect of this golf outing is the social interaction between the participants and students that occurs while playing together. The Golf Program at Recreational Sports offers a unique, on-campus experience to both the University of Minnesota and greater Twin Cities communities. Established in 1929, the University of Minnesota Les Bolstad Golf Course is a classic, 18 hole championship course boasting a tree-lined path through the history of Minnesota golf.
Legends such as Tom Lehman, Patti Berg, John Harris, Louis Lick, Karen Weiss and Les Bolstad have navigated their way around its tight fairways, ancient trees and elevated greens.
