Wilderness First Aid Course

Registration for the Wilderness First Aid (WFA) Course on April 24-26 is now open! The Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course helps outdoor adventurers prepare for the unexpected. This fast-paced, hands-on training is designed to meet the needs of trip leaders, camp staff, outdoor enthusiasts and people working in remote locations. The course introduces skills to care for individuals who become ill or injured far from definitive medical care. Classroom lectures and demonstrations combined with realistic scenarios with mock patients challenge you to integrate your learning. At the end of the course, you'll have the knowledge, skills and ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations. Taught by seasoned instructors in a two and a half day format, this WFA course takes place over the weekend of April 24-26. Learning takes place both in the classroom and in outdoor settings regardless of weather conditions. Come prepared for all environments--wet, muddy, cold or hot. Register Today! No previous first aid training is required. You must be 16 years old to attend this course. More course information may be found at the NOLS website: www.nols.edu/wmi/courses/wildfirstaid.shtml
