Who I Am:
After growing up in New York, I have been a Midwestern transplant since 1996. My greatest passions are music, movement, food, and family. When I’m not spending time with my husband and two kids, I sing with the Minnesota Chorale, dance, run, and do a triathlon every now and then. I have worked in the wellness field for over 17 years as a licensed Massage Therapist and Registered Dietitian and nutrition writer.
What I Do:
I completed my massage training at the Ann Arbor Institute of Massage Therapy in 2002, where I studied Swedish Massage, Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Therapy, Prenatal, and Sports Massage. I refined my work as a Massage Therapist at Bella Nina Day Spa in Ann Arbor, Michigan through 2005 and collaborated in the opening of Kaizen Healing Arts Wellness Center, where I continued my practice through 2011. Since relocating to Minnesota, I have offered therapeutic massage through my private practice in Southwest Minneapolis.
I offer various types of massages including:
- Myofascial Release
- Neuromuscular Therapy
- Sports Massage
- Prenatal Massage
What My Sessions Are Like:
- I specialize in delivering therapeutic massage with grace and sensitivity that allows you to stay relaxed through deep work.
- Whether you are dealing with chronic pain, recovering from injury or simply needing to relax, I will employ varied techniques to tailor your massage to your specific needs.
- I can suggest personalized stretching exercises to address areas of chronic tension and pain so you continue to benefit from your massage long after you’ve gotten up from the table.
- I typically use a non-odor based cream directly on the skin with my massages but can perform them over clothing if desired.
