Personal Training

Personal training services are offered at both the Minneapolis and St. Paul facilities. Services, which are available to both members and non-members, include individualized exercise programming that combines personal health and fitness goals with assessment results. Nationally certified personal trainers focus on education, motivation, and exercise adherence. Personal training services provide:

  • Fitness pre-assessments to track and evaluate body composition, cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength, muscular endurance, and flexibility.
  • Customized exercise programs to combine personal health and fitness goals.
  • Regular meetings with a personal trainer in a one-on-one environment.
  • Opportunity to independently continue an exercise program after completion.

Ready to learn more about our fitness services? Schedule a free 20-minute fitness orientation to learn more about the fitness centers, try equipment, and ask questions. A fitness staff member will guide the orientation and help establish a comfort level with the fitness areas.

Functional Movement Screening (FMS)

Functional Movement Screening (FMS)

Functional Movement Screening focuses on identifying functional dysfunction. It’s important to identify muscle dysfunction before starting a strength training or cardiovascular program to prevent injuries. FMS is widely used among physical therapists, strength coaches, and personal trainers to help participants recognize imbalances and potential injuries.

Functional Movement Screening allows you to:

  • Establish a functional and balanced baseline.
  • Identify imbalances in overall physical fitness.
  • Test balance in three dimensions.
  • Create body awareness of muscle dysfunction.

Body Composition (BodPod)

Body Composition (BodPod)

The BodPod uses measurements of body volume and mass to precisely calculate amounts of fat and fat-free mass. The BodPod assessment will allow you to:

  • Accurately measure body fat percentage – a key metric of overall health and fitness.
  • Track changes over time in fat mass and fat-free mass.
  • Calculate resting metabolic rate as well as total calories burned per day at four different levels of physical activity.

Group Assessment

Sessions are offered in packages ranging from two to eighteen sessions and last up to one hour per session. All training packages include a complimentary pre-training fitness assessment and body composition assessment.

Private Bootcamp

Private Bootcamp is available for groups of three to six individuals. Classes involve taking part in a variety of challenging activities such as:

Total Fitness Package

Total Fitness Package

Combine your current fitness level with personal health and fitness goals to design an individualized exercise program.

This three-session package includes the following:

  • Session 1: A body composition assessment and fitness assessment that will determine baseline levels of muscular strength, muscular endurance, cardiovascular endurance, and flexibility. Following this fitness assessment, consult with a personal trainer who will create an individualized training program.
  • Session 2: An hour-long session in which a personal trainer will lead all components of an individualized training program. During this session, you will learn how to perform all exercises using proper form.
  • Session 3: An hour-long personal training session.
