COVID-19 Protocol

No masks or distancing requirements at the University of Minnesota at this time. 

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and individuals with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. 
 
USA Swimming, Inc., cannot prevent you (or your child(ren)) from becoming exposed to, contracting, or spreading COVID-19 while participating in USA Swimming sanctioned events. It is not possible to prevent against the presence of the disease. Therefore, if you choose to participate in a USA Swimming sanctioned event, you may be exposing yourself to and/or increasing your risk of contracting or spreading COVID-19. 
 
BY ATTENDING OR PARTICIPATING IN THIS COMPETITION, YOU VOLUNTARILY ASSUME ALL RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH EXPOSURE TO COVID-19 AND FOREVER RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS USA SWIMMING AND THE LOCAL SWIMMING COMMITTEE (LSC) AND EACH OF THEIR OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, AGENTS, EMPLOYEES OR OTHER REPRESENTATIVES FROM ANY LIABILITY OR CLAIMS INCLUDING FOR PERSONAL INJURIES, DEATH, DISEASE OR PROPERTY LOSSES, OR ANY OTHER LOSS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO CLAIMS OF NEGLIGENCE AND GIVE UP ANY CLAIMS YOU MAY HAVE TO SEEK DAMAGES, WHETHER KNOWN OR UNKNOWN, FORESEEN OR UNFORESEEN, IN CONNECTION THEREWITH. 
 
Every club planning to attend this competition must develop a “Return to Competition” plan. Return to competition can only occur when and if your local authorities have deemed it safe to return to competition. USA Swimming in no way endorses conducting practice or competition in violation of any local, state, or federal guidelines. Ticket Information

Here is how to purchase online tickets:

  1. Click this link to access the Shop RecWell website.

  2. Create an account - You will need to provide: name, general info, email, and phone number. 

  3. Activate your account by accessing an email sent to the email address provided in step 2 above.

  4. Sign In.

  5. Just below the photos, select "Futures" (will not be available until June 1st).

  6. On the left side, select "Aquatics".

  7. Again on the left, select "Futures".

  8. Select from packages with 1 pass, 2 passes, or 5 passes. Add as many to your cart as needed to add up to total number of passes. (For example: if you need 3 passes, add both 1 pass and 2 passes to your cart).

    • NOTE: The person purchasing the tickets is responsible for picking up the tickets. Please email [email protected] to arrange a different pickup person. 

  9. Go to your cart in the top right corner.

  10. Enter payment information and checkout.

Tickets will be available for pickup starting Tuesday July 26th at Will Call in the lobby of the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center. Please bring a form of identification to pick up your tickets.

Volunteer Information

Volunteers are a necessity to help a meet run smoothly, if you are interested in volunteering at the Futures Championship Meet please follow this link: 
ALL VOLUNTEERS:

Check-in will be open 15 minutes before each shift begins in the Aquatics Lobby. Arrive at your scheduled time in order to be present at the required training prior to the start of the meet. Please wear black pants/shorts and we will provide a shirt for volunteers. If signed up for multiple sessions please wear your shirt again.

*As of June 1st, 2022 masks are no longer required.

TIMERS:
Timers must be 12 years of age or older. Timers serve as the backup to the timing system and have a front-row seat to all the fast swimming. Never timed before? Not a problem! We will train you on-site. Please wear clothes and shoes that will be comfortable even when wet.

BASKET CARRIERS:
Basket carriers is a position recommended for those 12 years of age and under. This position is to assist in championship processions and award ceremonies. All children will be supervised by a University of Minnesota employee at all times.

RUNNERS:
Runners must be 12 years of age or older. Runners help move paperwork from the pool deck into the event management office.
