Lockers are available to rent at the Minneapolis and St. Paul facilities. Long term locker rentals are for members only and grant free reciprocal daily rental at other the RecWell facility. Visit the Member Service Desk in Minneapolis or St. Paul to purchase a long term locker rental. Daily locker rentals are available at the North and South Equipment Desks or the St. Paul Gym Member Service Desk. Coin lockers are available throughout the facility. Coin and daily lockers are not available for overnight storage.

We have locker rooms to use for changing and showering at no additional cost. They’re open to all RecWell members and guests. Lockers and towels are available to rent for a fee. More information about locker room locations, amenities, and gender neutral changing spaces are included below.
Locker Room Access and Locations
- Note: a code is required to enter the women’s locker rooms at our Minneapolis location. Check in at the equipment room to get it. Codes are needed for both the men’s and women’s locker rooms at St. Paul Gym. Check in at the front desk to get it.
- North Building, lower level: men’s, women’s, and private changing rooms.
- South Building, lower level: men’s, women’s, and private changing rooms.
- St. Paul Gym, lower level: men’s, women’s, and private changing rooms.
Gender Neutral Restroom or Changing Room
RecWell offers gender-neutral changing rooms to you in all of our facilities. Find locations here or ask a RecWell staff member for directions.

Saunas and Steam Rooms
Our sauna and steam rooms are available once again, effective March 21, 2022. We will continue to monitor recommendations from the Minnesota Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control in order to make informed decisions with your health and safety in mind.
Hand/sweat towels are available for free throughout our facilities.
Regular-sized towels can be found at each of the Equipment Rooms. They are complimentary for daily and long-term locker renters, but may also be rented for $1.00 for day use. Please return the towel to the equipment room after use.
Multipurpose rooms are available outside of scheduled programming times. All rooms have audio/visual capabilities with a projection screen. Most rooms also offer wall-to-wall length mirrors and natural lighting. These spaces are ideal for fitness workouts, activity training, and dancing (non-marking shoes). They are also available to rent for your next group meeting.
Need a space to study outside of class? Our recreation centers have space to accommodate you and small groups. The Recreation and Wellness Center also offers an in-house cafe just in case your studying keeps you longer than expected.
We offer a variety of rental and resale equipment to keep you active within our walls. Most rental equipment will cost between $0.25-$1.00 per use. Located on the lower levels of the Recreation and Wellness Center, the Equipment Rooms are also the central locations for towel service and if you ever need a bag of ice!
