Group Fitness Passes Spring 2026

Buy a FitPass and enjoy instructor-led fitness classes. Any fitness level is encouraged to try Group Fitness. Classes include Mat Pilates, Yoga Flow, Cardio Dance, Zumba, Cycling, and more. Classes are offered at University Recreation and Wellness Center and St. Paul Gym. Check out the schedule and purchase a FitPass

Community Climb Days Spring 2026

Community Climb Days seek to foster inclusivity and diversity in the University of Minnesota Climbing Community. During these events, we strive to create a safe space for students to climb and build relationships with others who identify with their community and share an interest in climbing!  

Upcoming Community Climb Days: LGBTQIA+ 3/21/2026, and Women, Femme, Nonbinary 4/18/2026. All 11:30-2:00 pm in the MPLS Climbing Gym. 

These events are designed with certain identities in mind, but all are welcome to join.

Join us on March 15th from 1:30-3:00 pm at the St. Paul Gymnasium for an unforgettable afternoon of splashing and themed activities.

Get ready to make a splash as we host an exciting pool party, play lots of games, and swim to your heart's content. Whether you're a seasoned swimmer or just looking to dip your toes in, there's something for everyone to enjoy!

So mark your calendars, grab your swimsuit, and join us for a splashing good time for a great cause on March 15th! See you by the pool!

Stand-Up Paddleboarding 1:30 pm-3 pm in the Natatorium on April 12. Recommended for ages 12 and up. Community Rate: $8 per person. Students and Staff/Faculty are free! Paddle, Mingle, and Snack.

Curious what it's like to jump from the high dive? On Friday, April 10, any student can give it a try!

On April 10 from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm, come to the Natatorium to jump, tuck, or free-style off the diving boards.
A brief swimming test and active U card are required. Free, and no registration required—just show up!

Spring 2026 Outdoor Trips

Our experienced guides will facilitate all aspects of the trip to one of our world-class program areas in Minnesota or across the United States. Whether you are new to outdoor activities or bring a wealth of experience, our trips are a great opportunity to meet new people, experience awe-inspiring destinations, and develop your outdoor living skills. In partnership with ISSS, join other students to enjoy coffee and treats, learn about different cultures, make new friends, and have fun! Free and open to all. No sign-up required! Free Mat Pilates Class at Off-Campus Safety Center

We're excited to introduce a NEW Mat Pilates Class at Off-Campus Safety Center on Tuesdays, 2:30 pm-3:15 pm. No equipment needed, just show up and move! Strong core. Calmer mind.

UMN Faculty Staff Days @ RecWell

On the third Thursday of each month, UMN Faculty and Staff can access all RecWell facilities for free, no membership required. Access also includes free open climbing (MPLS only), free Group Fitness classes, and a free daily locker. Visit the Member Service Desk at University Recreation and Wellness Center or St. Paul Gym when checking in to access free day offerings.
