Nadia

Nadia’s personal meditation practice started in 2017, soon after she received over a 100 hours of meditation teacher-training in different lineages/styles, such as: Loving kindness meditation, mindfulness meditation, Shamatha meditation, and Vipassana meditation. She uses her daily practice to bring mindfulness to her life as a student and a teacher. Nadia believes that meditation should be an accessible tool to manage stress and cultivate emotional well-being.

Sarah

Sarah is excited to be leading classes on Meditation with Intent. Sarah has been a Group Fitness Instructor at the University of Minnesota Recreation and Wellness Center since 2014, and helped develop the Yoga 101/Intro to Yoga Small Group Fitness Series in 2015. She is an Alumni of the University of Minnesota/Guthrie Theater BFA Actor Training Program, and now works as a Performer, a Writer, and Teaching Artist. She especially loves to work toward helping Twin Cities youth gain access to the arts, and embark on healing generational trauma via dance therapy.

Mary

Mary has spent over 35 years in spandex teaching yoga, mindfulness and group exercise, as well as training instructors for a variety of exercise and wellness adventures. Her passion as a teacher are love, fun, laughter, great music and copious amounts of sweat and kind energy, and getting the uninterested interested. She has trained extensively in the industry: from varieties of yoga and meditation to dance and strength training; and from cycling to laughter yoga. Catch her reading, biking, Nordic skiing, or hanging out with her husband and enjoying her family, along with a bit of chocolate from time to time.

Maria

María Sánchez-Muñiz has always been mesmerized the mind/body connection. Her practice is primarily informed by the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program created by Jon Kabat-Zinn and the Art of Living program.  She has undertaken many periods of silent long-term retreat practice. When María is not on her meditation cushion, she can be found in a library finishing her Ph.D. thesis in Mathematics, lecturing Calculus, teaching group fitness classes at Rec Well, or hammocking by the Mississippi River with her dog.
