RecWell offers two styles of professional massage therapy: Shiatsu and Relaxation. 

Shiatsu (offered Fri.) is performed over your comfortable clothing and without oils. It may include stretching, pressing on certain points, kneading, and tapping techniques. Shiatsu can help reduce stress, contribute to overall well-being, and help you keep the body balanced when symptoms arise.

Relaxation massages (offered Wed. and Fri.) can be performed fully clothed or with clothing removed but you must wear at least one layer of undergarments for this type of session. Relaxation massages will usually include flowing strokes and kneading, performed at your requested pressure level. They can loosen tight muscles, encourage blood flow, and promote stress relief.

Chair Massage

Chair massages focus only on the shoulders and upper back and are intended for relaxation purposes.

Students and faculty/staff who are RecWell members may purchase a 30-minute chair massage for the following discounted prices:

Massages expire 60 days after purchase. 

Chair massages are available for event rentals.

*University Organization & Non-University Organization chair massages are for events hosted inside the Recreation and Wellness Center.

**External department chair massages are for events hosted outside of Recreation and Wellness. If you're interested in having chair massage at an event please fill out the external department request form.
